TERRIFIC TRIPS
Senior center members may register the first ten days. After that, non-member seniors ages
50 and up and those ages 21-49 accompanying a senior, may register for any remaining
seats. Payment is due when registering and must be paid with checks or money orders only.
Cancellation/refund policies are determined by the tour company arranging the trip. Please
check before registering to see if scooters or wheelchairs can be accommodated
for that trip.
April 1: Beef & Boards - Hello, Dolly
Enjoy a matinee performance of the delightful musical, Hello Dolly, at the Beef & Boards
Dinner Theater in Indianapolis. Included is a full lunch buffet with dessert. After the show, you
will have the chance to shop at the Circle Center Mall and have dinner on your own. Cost is
$83 per person and at least 40 people must register for this trip to go. This trip is combined
with the Fairborn Senior Center. Last day to register is February 5. Departure time is 9 a.m.
with an approximate return time of 8 p.m.
May 3: German Fest - Vevay, IN
Dine at the home of Johanna Welsch and sample her German potato salad, sauerbraten, and
Black Forest Cake while you enjoy her singing and stories of the region. Afterwards, tour
Switzerland County with a step-on guide and the Schenck Mansion. On the way home, enjoy
the beauty of the Ohio River from the front porch of the beautifully restored 1881 Victorian
Rosemont Inn, considered to be the #1 Bed & Breakfast in Southern Indiana, by Trip Advisor.
You can just relax or participate in an optional wine tasting and/or tour of the Inn for an extra
fee of $2-$6.
This delightful trip was requested by members who wish to return. Cost is $66 per person.
Members register February 1, non-members February 16. Last day to register is March 24.
Depart from Huber center at 8 a.m. with approximate return time of 5:30 p.m.
June 9: Historic Metamora, IN
Observe a water-powered mill in action grinding corn meal and flour at the Grist Mill. Then
step back in time while taking a leisurely 25 minute cruise down the canal on the Ben Franklin
III. You will enjoy a buffet lunch at the Hearthstone Restaurant and then have time to shop the
fudge, candies, and gift shops. This delightful trip costs $66 per person. Members register
February 22, non-members begin March 8. Last day to register is April 16. Limit of 15 seats
per center; a standby list will be kept and there is a good chance of more openings so make
sure to get on the wait list if the trip is full.
